Primarily, Nicholas represents clients in situations linked to real estate development, construction delay, workmanship, lien and performance issues, along with those involving property insurance. In the development realm, Nicholas enjoys providing clients practical, business-minded advice, from project concept through completion. Experiences in large scale acquisitions, attaining state and municipal approvals, negotiating construction contracts and beyond, allow Nicholas to ensure that clients’ projects track seamlessly to realization.
In instances where conflicts arise, contractors, subcontractors, sureties and owners that Nicholas counsels appreciate the pragmatic advice he provides, as it preserves resources and leads to resolution, opposed to protracted litigation. Of course, with years of experience, if reasonable minds do not prevail, Nicholas is able to assist and protect clients’ interests in arbitration or trial.
For nearly a decade Nicholas worked closely with Attorneys John Mancini and Thomas Carter in a Providence based law firm, prior to the formation of Mancini Carter in 2017. During that period, Nicholas’ efforts cultivated long lasting relationships that form Mancini Carter’s client base today.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Nicholas was employed for several years as a commercial carpenter. Working on multi-million dollar projects throughout New England, Nicholas gained experience dealing with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and architects, as well municipal and state regulatory agencies.
